Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one session and without the need to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual can get you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.
The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.
robot vacuum hoover is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without using a pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. cheap robot vacuum can detect if the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available however, it comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a great method to keep your home cleaner for longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
